Choose the right Word conversion mode
Choose page images when the recipient needs the PDF’s appearance in a Word document. Each page becomes an image, so its text cannot be edited. Choose extracted text when you need to rewrite the content; columns, fonts and tables may change.
For a scanned contract or receipt, use PDF OCR first to obtain text. Check every page after conversion, especially mixed page sizes and blank pages. Keep the original PDF until you have reviewed the DOCX.
Can I keep the layout and edit every element?
Not with these local modes. Page images preserve appearance; text extraction produces editable text without reconstructing the original layout.

Places each PDF page as an image in Word, keeping its visual layout, including tables and pictures. Text is not editable. Page sizes and rotation are retained; very large pages are scaled to fit Word. This is not editable layout reconstruction.
Extracts selectable PDF text into editable DOCX paragraphs. Images and original layout are not preserved. For scanned pages, use OCR first.

What result will I get?

Are my files uploaded to a server?
Files and text are processed in this browser tab, without server uploads or analytics. Language and theme preferences are saved on this device. Closing the tab releases the working files. On the first visit, the site uses the hosting provider’s approximate IP country when available, then your browser language. A language cookie remembers your choice for one year. You can change it at any time.
Will this change my original file?
No. The tool creates a separate result for you to review and download. Keep the original until you have checked the exported content.
